I create dance with the intention of inspiring dialogue, thought, emotion, and further creation. During the creation process I draw on my knowledge of clown, mime and Commedia Dell’Arte to create a unique choreographic style, a style that uses gesture, facial expressions, and audience interaction more than traditional forms of modern dance. My choreographic work has been presented in Philadelphia at the nEW Festival (2005), DanceHouse (2005), Live Arts Festival (2004), New Edge Mix (2003) and GLUE Performance Series (2003 and 2004).Currently I am also working with the Reactionaries, a collaborative of dancers, designers, and technicians creating site-specific, experimental work. My history involves working with Philadelphia artists such as Nichole Canuso, The Bald Mermaids and Robert Smithe of Mum Puppettheater. I was also a founding member of the physical theatre collaborative, Hotel Obligado from 2001-2004.

Choreographed works:

Echo (2003)
A collaboration with Madison Cario exploring madness.

Barely There (2003)
A collaboration with Madison Cario.

Underneath It All (2004)
Explores what is underneath the masks that we wear, the smile that we hide behind, and the mountains of pain and beauty that determine our who, what, where, and why.

(dis)engage (2005)
A satiric commentary on the egotistical nature of artists.

Oma’s WWII Secret (2005)
About my Grandmother’s life in Germany during WWII and how her history has affected our family tree. In a broader sense it's about how despite our best efforts, we internalize traumatic events, passing them down just like genetic material. This was a collaboration with dancer Bethany Formica, filmmaker Mendal Diana Polish, and musicians Alexandra Day and Joe Getz.
